Mariposa Women and Family Center
Founded in 1977, Mariposa Women and Family Center provides high quality, low-cost mental health and substance abuse counseling, life skills, and supportive services to women and families who otherwise would be unable to afford the help they so desperately need. Over 93% of the people Mariposa serves have low to extremely low incomes. Whether the issues are depression, anxiety, loss of a loved one, substance abuse, anger management, domestic violence, childhood abuse, parenting difficulties, low self-esteem, communication problems, or other life challenges, Mariposa’s counselors have been there to help.

The Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the reduction of death and injury caused by firearms. Maine Gun Safety Education Coalition is a grassroots organization founded in 2000 to protect Maine families and communities from gun violence. MGSC is the longest-standing gun violence prevention organization in Maine. Marylanders to Prevent Violence works to reduce the number of senseless deaths that occur at the hands of guns through education and legislative advocacy. Their efforts are designed to challenge the culture of violence, influence public policy, and encourage Marylanders to take action to make their state safer.
